Product Functions
Celotex GD5000 is purpose designed for providing thermal insulation and plasterboard as one product.
GD5000 is purpose designed for providing better U Values and thinner solutions in dot and dab solid wall upgrades and other dry-lining applications.
GD5000 can be specified for use in a variety of applications including:
The "underneath" layer of insulation in 'between and under' rafter and joist applications
Solid masonry walls
Timber frame lining applications
Product Description
Celotex GD5000 is a plasterboard thermal laminate comprising of premium PIR insulation bonded to 9.5mm tapered edge plasterboard, with a thermal conductivity of 0.021 W/mK.
The product’s kraft paper facings, with their high elasticity and high tear resistance, are ideal for adhesively bonded (dot & dab) installations.
Designed specifically for internal dry-lining systems, GD5000 can be used to upgrade internal solid walls or provide a second layer of insulation including timber frame constructions and between and under pitched and flat roof applications
Product Benefits
Celotex GD5000 is designed to achieve better U Values and thinner solutions in adhesively bonded (dot & dab) applications.
It offers a super low lambda performance of 0.021 W/mK with kraft paper facings,
GD5000 is manufactured from rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) using a blowing agent that has low global warming potential and zero ozone depletion potential.
Provides the highest performing PIR plasterboard thermal laminate, offering up to 15% thinner solutions than typical PIR
Can achieve up to 30% better U Values using comparable build ups, assisting in
delivering enhanced carbon savings
Allows common target U Values to be met with the thinnest possible solution, allowing 50% less insulation than some other certified systems helping optimise internal living space
Is suitable for achieving thinner solutions in plaster dab bonded dry lining applications
Available and accredited for a wide range of installation techniques providing speed and flexibility to the installer, offering time and cost savings
Offers the installer maximum flexibility and installation speed due to the tapered edge plasterboard
Provides reliable long-term energy savings for buildings Is suitable for both new build and refurbishment projects
Can be easily used to upgrade to current building regulation standards
Can be used in pitched roof, flat roof and wall applications
Reduces thermal bridges formed by mortar joints
Ideal where no cavity exists
Provides a vapour control layer (VCL) when board joints are taped and jointed
Particularly suited to refurbishment projects
